Ann was born on October 6, 1934, in Whitefield, Oklahoma, to Daniel Morgan "Baby" Ivey and Mollie Jane (Murray) Ivey. She spent her early years in Stigler before moving to Tulsa as a child, where she attended Roosevelt Elementary School.
Ann met the love of her life, Harold Lloyd Wicker, at the Rightway Skating Rink, where he tied the laces on her skates and her heart forever. They were married on April 7, 1951, in Tulsa and began their life together on the Sand Springs line before settling in Tulsa to raise their family.
A devoted homemaker, Ann's life revolved around her family and her faith. She knew Christ as a child and later rededicated her life to Him as an adult at Olivet Baptist Church. Her days were filled with activities that brought her closer to her loved ones. She cherished her time spent at the lake with Danny and Betty Helt. They would relax, play cards, and fish, often cooking feasts of their catches. Ann was a talented bowler and played in many leagues throughout the years. She enjoyed going to rodeos to watch the barrel races and enjoyed going to the car races, as well. Wherever her family was, she wanted to be. She had nerves of steel, as she braved teaching all five of her grandchildren how to drive and taking them all to their driving tests. She was an unwavering source of support for her family, and cherished every moment spent with them, especially her great and great-great grandchildren; their laughs always brought her biggest smiles and joyful laughs that will resonate in our hearts forever.
Ann's home was a sanctuary for family, friends, and neighborhood children. Her door was always open, her table always welcoming, and her heart full of love and laughter. Known for her mischievous wit, ornery sense of humor, and kind spirit, she was a mother and grandmother to all who knew her. She held a special fondness for Conway Twitty and you could always see a little more pep in her step when she was listening to his music.
Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Harold, in 2006; her parents; her great-grandson, Corbin Lee Wicker; her siblings: Tom, Clyde, and John Ivey, and Danny and Betty Helt.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Gayle Sadler of Tulsa, Harold Don Wicker of Tulsa, JoAnn Blevins and husband, Kenneth of Cleveland, and Karen Ringgold of Sand Springs; her grandchildren: Harold Lee Wicker and wife, Jeri, Steven Don Wicker and wife, Stacy, Shawn Daniel Wicker and wife, Dawn, Morgan DeAnn Caywood and husband Bo, and Kenneth Doice Blevins and wife, Ashley; her great-grandchildren: Tyler, Ethan, and wife Emmalee, Sara, Gillian, Casey, Anna, Nathan, Avery, Matthew, Ashlee, Addison, Kamden, Olivia, Rae'Lynn, husband AJ, Dustin, Kennedy and Caylum; and her great-great-grandchildren: Cadence, Landry, Corbin Cole, Sterling, Kenleigh, Eastynn, Drake and Coy.
Ann's life was a testament to love, family, and faith, and her memory will forever be cherished by those who were blessed to know her.
