Anna Mae
Harris
Jul 19, 1936 — Dec 31, 2025
Sand Springs
Anna Mae Harris, age 89, passed away on December 31, 2025, in her home in Sand Springs surrounded by her family. Arrangements are entrusted to Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.
Anna was born on July 19, 1936, in Wilson, Oklahoma, to Emory and Geneva DeLancy. She grew up in Mannford, OK, and graduated from Mannford High School. She married the love of her life, Leon Harris on July 13, 1957 and celebrated their 50th anniversary prior to his passing. She had an impressive career in the banking industry spanning over 35+ years. She worked for the City of Sand Springs for 10 years until her retirement. However, retirement did not slow her down. Anna became a dedicated volunteer with St. John Auxiliary, serving as a past president, and was an active member of the Sand Springs Pilot Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, and IEC Foundation for 30 years. She also contributed to the community by working numerous elections and filled in as a part-time teller at BancFirst.
Anna loved spending time with family and friends, always hosting Sunday dinners and cooking for everyone. She enjoyed the many trips to the lake with family and friends, annual Thanksgiving shopping and attending OU women's basketball games in Norman. BOOMER!
She was the best "Memaw," playing many games of WAHOO with her grandchildren, attending school plays to watch a special actress and being a chauffeur to/from school. She also provided the most special hugs and kisses. Anna's love for her family was evident in everything she did!
Her legacy continues through her children, Harold, Kelley, and Darrell, all of Sand Springs, her grandchildren, Chelsea Harris, Morgan (Chris) Crafton, Allison Harris, and Jocelyn Harris and her great-grandchildren, Parker Leon Crafton and Brentley Ray Green. She is also survived by her sisters, Pat (Chuck) Crosier of Sand Springs, Judy Brown of Mebane, NC and sister-in-law, Joyce DeLancy of Spring Branch, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews, and great-nephews who adored their Aunt Mae.
Anna is preceded in death by the love of her life, Leon Harris, her parents, Emory and Geneva DeLancy, and brother, Don DeLancy.
She will be fondly remembered for her love of cooking, Sunday dinners for family and friends, unconditional love, and infectious smile.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Compassus Hospice, especially Dusty, Frank and LaSondra, for their compassionate care. Knowing that Anna is at peace and reunited with the love of her life brings us comfort.
Please join us in celebrating Anna's life on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 1:00 pm at First Christian Church in Mannford, OK. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026 from 12:00-8:00pm with family visitation from 5:00-7:00pm.
