Arthur R. Troll departed this life on Friday, September 16, at Claremore Nursing Home at the age of 86. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, September 22, at Woodland Memorial Park. Honors will be presented by the Tulsa Police Department.

Arthur was born December 19, 1935, in Tulsa to Arthur L. Troll and Louise (Walker) Troll. He graduated from Will Rogers High School where he played trumpet in the band. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and once he returned home in 1958 he started his career as a police officer with the Tulsa Police Department. Arthur retired in 1987. Arthur worked security for many years at the Webster High School games and later worked with the University of Tulsa as the Director of Security.

In 1990, at a friend's party, Arthur met Cathy Lois Hardesty. They soon became inseparable, and were married on December 19, 1993, in Tulsa. They moved to Sand Springs in 1995.

In his spare time, Arthur enjoyed helping his friends on their ranch where they raised Arabian horses, watching baseball, and spending time with his children who thought he was larger than life. Arthur was always kind and laid back; and everyone he met loved him.

Arthur is preceded in death by his wife, Cathy; and his parents.

Survivors include his daughters: Cynthia Goodwin and husband, Dave, Teresa Garman and wife, Kathy McEntire, and Toni Keel; grandchildren: James Garman and wife, Candace, Aaron Goodwin, Ryan Goodwin, Kelsey Goodwin, and Piper Keel; and great-grandson, Hudson Garman.
