Aubrey Ray Henry, 75 of Sand Springs, went to his Heavenly reward on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at his home.

Aubrey was born on November, 3, 1946 in Tulsa to Samuel Aubrey and Opal Lucille (Compton), and lived in Rock Community his entire life.

Aubrey attended Rock School through 8 th grade and graduated from Charles Page High School in 1964. As a young man Aubrey participated in sports and 4H.  He loved fast cars and practical jokes, which led to the end of his college education at OSU. He married Dorothy Sue Foust on August 2, 1968. To this union were born three daughters, Michelle, Jenny and Amanda "Teddy". He began his career as a draftsman for Armco Steel and worked as a millwright for Armco and later Sheffield Steel until his retirement.

Aubrey loved the outdoors. He hunted and fished, always eager to try a new pond or spot on the lake. He loved horses and participated in rodeos while he raised his daughters. Additionally, he bred and trained horses throughout his life. He raised and trained Great Danes for years.  His love for animals was apparent throughout his life, all strays were immediately adopted into his brood and became pets.

On February 12, 2000, Aubrey married Kay Susan Schmoutey in Arkansas, and they were members of the Delaware Missionary Baptist Church. Kay adapted immediately to country life supporting, encouraging, and finally caring for Aubrey the past year.  His life was full, he would never deny a favor and was always willing to help anyone in need. Aubrey and Kay began a new adventure years ago when they began raising their beloved great-grandaughter, Kambri.
