Barbara Ann Beard Coppock entered her heavenly home on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the age of 85. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs. A funeral service celebrating Barbara's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 12, at First Baptist Church of Lenapah, with Pastor Wayne Clayton officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery.

Barbara was born on July 31, 1939, in Coffeyville, Kansas, to Eliseo Albata and Elizabeth (Hollford) Gibbs. She spent her early years in Coffeyville until the age of 11, when her family moved to Lenapah. In 1961, she married Scott Warren Beard in Tulsa. Later in life, she reunited with and married her high school sweetheart, William "Bill" Coppock.

Throughout the years, Barbara dedicated her life to various professions and services. She worked as a school bus driver and later became a real estate broker, establishing and operating Barbara Ann Real Estate. She pursued higher education and earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology. Barbara and Scott generously opened their home as foster parents for many years, providing love and care to numerous children. Additionally, she worked for the Cherokee Nation WIC program in Nowata, Tulsa, and at the Claremore Indian Hospital.

A woman of deep faith, Barbara was a devoted member of the Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville. She expressed her creativity through her love of quilting, crafting handmade quilts that are now cherished by family and friends. She also enjoyed painting and other creative endeavors. Above all, Barbara was known as the greatest mom in the world, always nurturing and caring for her family.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husbands, Scott and Bill; her sons, Scottie Duane Beard and Mark Stellon Beard; and her parents. She is survived by her loving children: Tony Lee Beard, Ray B. Beard and wife, Monica, Marie N. Bowers, and Leyse A. Beard and husband, Keith. She also leaves behind a legacy of grandchildren: Brandon Lee Beard, Jason Beard, Timmy Beard, Tony Beard, Jr., Scottie Beard, Thereasa Beard, Jacob Beard, Patricia Beard, Kelsi Strickland, Megan Hoppenstedt, Kris Estrin, Brittany Estrin, Rocky Breck, Eric Beard, and Javaier Beard; as well as great-grandchildren: Ryker, Ayden, Nova, and Elliott Estin, and Dominic Erwin.
