Barbara Jean (Evans) Wilson, 88, of Sand Springs passed away at University Village Skilled Nursing in Tulsa on Saturday August 26, 2023.

Barbara was born on May 6, 1935 in Russellville, Arkansas to John and Nona (Barton) Evans.  The family moved to Sand Springs in 1945 where her father went to work for Kerr Glass.  Barbara graduated in 1953 from Sand Springs High School.

She met and married the love of her life, Everett Leon Wilson on May 19, 1956 in Wagoner, Oklahoma.  To this union were born their children Ricky and Pamela.

Barbara loved being a mother and grandmother, doting on her family and cooking large meals for them.

Left to mourn her passing are her son, Ricky; daughter Pamela Frunk; five grandchildren, Daniel Wilson (Devra), Emily Bottjer (Doug), Justin Frunk (April), Elizabeth Binger, Katie Lewis; great granddaughter, Lucy Frunk; and beloved nieces, Sheryl Wince, Stephanie Norman; and other relatives and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Everett; son-in-law, Charles "Bill" Frunk and sister Mary Dilday.

Funeral services will be held at Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service on Wednesday August 30, 2023 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Randall Newby officiating.
