Barto Fisher, age 98, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, January 18, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at Clarehouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He was born on May 3, 1927, in Peggs, Oklahoma, to Troy and Beulah (Chaudoin) Fisher. At 18, he joined the United States Marine Corps, serving honorably from July 1945 through August 1946. He was proud of his service and especially proud of qualifying as a rifle sharpshooter—something he talked about with quiet pride throughout his life.

In 1949, he married Aleen, the love of his life. Together they moved to Tulsa, where they built their home, raised their family, and shared a life full of hard work, laughter, and devotion to one another. He began his career as a welder with National Tank Company and, through dedication and reliability, later moved into the office as a Production Planner as the company became known as CE Natco.

He and Aleen had three children: Gerald Fisher of Bixby, Karen Daniel of Edmond, and Teresa Volk of Tulsa. Being a husband, father, and later a grandfather was the greatest joy of his life.

He loved working in the soil and took pride in tending to his beloved vegetable garden every summer. Fishing was another passion, and Lake Keystone became a special place filled with memories—teaching his children to water ski and fish, sharing time with family, and later spending peaceful retirement days fishing alongside his son, Gerald.

Music was always close to his heart. Self-taught and able to play by ear, he found joy in playing the guitar, violin, and piano. Some of his favorite moments were spent making music with his brothers during informal get-togethers. Bowling was another activity he truly enjoyed. He and Aleen bowled together for many years in a mixed league, and he also bowled in several men's leagues, proudly earning multiple 600-series patches along the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Beulah Fisher; his beloved wife, Aleen Fisher; and his brothers, Ovon Fisher and Norman "Shrimp" Fisher of Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

He leaves behind his three children; one daughter in law, Kay Fisher; two son in laws: Jeff Daniel and Michael Volk; his youngest brother, Gary Fisher of Tahlequah; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one niece; and two nephews—each of whom will carry his memory forward with love.
