Bessie Maude McDaniels, age 91, of Sand Springs, passed from this life on Sunday, September 5, 2021, in Norfolk Virginia.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Mannford, Oklahoma with Reverend Nathan Staley officiating.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.

Bessie Maude was born on July 25, 1930 in Arkansas to Willis Newton Wilson and Amanda Jane (Webb) Wilson.  She married Thomas H. McDaniels on July 31, 1961 and they made their home in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.  Bessie was a long time employee of Kerr Glass where she retired.  She loved to dance and spend time with her family.  Bessie attended Mannford Baptist Church before moving to Norfolk Virginia, where she then attended Norfolk Apostolic Church. She will be greatly missed by her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas McDaniels, sons Troy Hicks, Michael Hicks and Kenneth Hicks, daughter Peggy Bennett, and all her siblings.

Bessie is survived by her son Thomas J. and wife Janet McDaniels, daughters Tammy and husband Jeremy Bell, Judy Loyd, Sandra Hicks, Hazel Day, 27 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
