Betty Sue
Bemore
Dec 3, 1945 — Apr 18, 2025
Sand Springs
Betty Sue Bemore entered her heavenly home on Friday, April 18, 2025 at the age of 79. Arrangements have been lovingly entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.
A funeral service celebrating Betty's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at the Jim Groesbeck Memorial Chapel at Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service, with Kevin Brian officiating. The service may be viewed live at https://webcast.funeralvue.com/events/viewer/111970. Viewing will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Betty was born on December 3, 1945 in Hominy, Oklahoma to Dink Templeton and Clara Millie (Fain) Templeton. She grew up in Tulsa and attended Tulsa Central High School. Though she did not graduate at the time, Betty's determination led her to earn her GED in 1976, twenty years later.
Betty was a proud member of the Cherokee Nation. She held strong ties to her heritage and faith and was a baptized member of Wekiwa Indian Baptist Church. She served as a Sunday School teacher for many years.
At her 16th birthday party, Betty met the love of her life, John Lewis Bemore. The two were married on June 27, 1964, and made their home in Tulsa before settling in Sand Springs. They shared a loving marriage until John's passing in 2012.
Betty was a hardworking and multitalented woman. She held positions at Dorsett Electronics, Daney Maid, and Zebco, where she started on the assembly line and worked her way up to become a material handler. Betty earned her CDL to drive Zebco's box trucks. She was the certified first aid responder for Zebco.
Betty's hobbies reflected her vibrant and creative spirit. She enjoyed bowling and participated in numerous leagues over the years. She found joy in ceramics, fishing, knitting, crocheting, and sewing—especially crafting her daughters' Halloween costumes by hand.
Music was always part of Betty's life, and she loved listening to all genres. She was, in every sense, a dynamic woman—ornery, fierce, funny, loving, sassy, and her sharp wit and mastery of words could leave a lasting impression. Above all, she was a nurturer, caregiver—selfless and timeless—caring for her parents and siblings through their final days Betty was a constant source of support and strength for her family.
Betty's legacy of love continues through her daughters, Becky Bemore-Goins and husband Tony Goins, Rhonda Bemore and wife Missy Koskey; her grandchildren, Skyler McBride and husband Sean, and Cheyenne Di Giacomo and husband Eric; and her great-grandchildren, Rex Di Giacomo and Quinton Lewis McBride.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Bemore; her parents, Dink and Milly Templeton; and her siblings, Marie Bright, Doris Welch, Gary Dink Templeton, and Dorothy Mae Templeton.
