Sand Springs
In Loving Memory of Beverly Jean McLane (Grandma)
Beverly Jean McLane, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025, at the age of 81.
Beverly was born on April 3, 1944, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Clifford Loyd and Betty Jean (Peitsmeyer) Peitsmeyer. For the past 50 years, she proudly called Sand Springs, Oklahoma, her hometown, where she built a life of love, family, and unwavering generosity.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Henry McLane; her daughters, Deborah Ann McLane and Sharon Grace McLane; her parents; and her sisters, Ruth, Sally, and Sharon.
Beverly's legacy of love lives on through her children, BettyJo Pigeon and Charles Robert McLane; her grandchildren, Kevin Pigeon Jr., Mike and Amanda Pigeon, Jason and Michaela Pigeon, Samantha McLane, and Danielle McLane; and her great-grandchildren, Mason Gaireope, Madison Pigeon, Derek Pigeon, Logan Smith, Aiden Smith, and Boston Pigeon. She also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends who were blessed to know her.
Affectionately known as "Grandma" to nearly everyone, Beverly's home was a sanctuary. She was the heart of her family, famous for her legendary Waldorf salad and a relentless desire to feed anyone who walked through her door. Her hospitality knew no bounds; she always had room in her house and at her table for anyone in need of a warm meal or a safe place to sleep. Her kindness was a cornerstone of her life, and she made all who knew her feel welcomed, loved, and cared for.
Beverly's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched with her generous heart and open door.
In lieu of flowers, Grandma would've wanted a random act of kindness done in her memory to honor her lifelong commitment to caring for others.
She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
