Bobby Fields (born April 30, 1950) passed away at his home on August 12, 2024, surrounded by his wife and daughters after a three-year battle with cancer. He took his final breaths as his beloved cuckoo clock chimed nine times in the background.

He was a welder and mechanic by trade. His hobbies included gardening, fishing, and hunting – especially with his beagles.  In later years he enjoyed building wooden boats and was especially proud of the cedar strip canoe he built.

Bobby had a great sense of humor. He loved to laugh and to make people laugh. Even after the cancer progressed, he often said that the day he couldn't muster a laugh is the day he was done here on earth. He was a kind and generous person who always wanted to help others. He cherished God and his family above all else and always managed to say I love you to his family in almost every conversation.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years Sandra; his children: daughter Michelle Kerr, son-in-law Barry Kerr, daughter Crystal Fields and his brother Jimmy Fields; nephews Larry Baker and James Fields, nieces Lonna Burkhardt, Stephanie McClary and Melissa Lester.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Jane Fields, his Aunt and Uncle Jo & Bud Fowler and sister Leslie McClary.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, August 16 at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
