Cathy Gail Wilson departed this life on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at the age of 70. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, February 2, at Home Gardens Church of Christ, Tulsa. Burial will be held at a later date at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow. Visitation will be 12-8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home with family greeting friends 6-8 p.m.
Cathy was born July 19 1952, in Tulsa to Millard Lee Lovins and Kathryn "Doll" (Shipley) Lovins. She grew up on the line and graduated from Central High School in 1971. She was a cheerleader and her boyfriend, Ralph Eugene Wilson, was on the football team. They began dating in seventh grade, and married on May 2, 1970, in Tulsa. Ralph served in the U.S. Army and they made their home in El Paso for a couple of years before moving to Sand Springs where they raised their daughters, Stacey and Kimberlee. Cathy was a great mother. She was loving, caring, and a selfless caretaker for her husband and daughter, Stacey, at the end of their lives.
Cathy attended beauty school in her younger years and enjoyed styling her family's hair. She loved anything from Hobby Lobby and was happy making all kinds of arts and crafts. Cathy enjoyed spending time with her cheerleader friends over the years, going to the movies or out to eat with her friend, Terry, and when she was able she enjoyed taking care of her flowers. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Cathy is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph in 2015; her daughter, Stacey Wilson Eubanks in 2017; her parents; and siblings: Donald Lovins, Clifford Lovins, Jerry Lovins, Larry Lovins, and Patsy Najera.
Survivors include her daughter, Kimberlee Hoback and husband, Bruce Hoback II, and granddaughter, Reagan Hoback all of Sand Springs; sister, Betty Hayward of Broken Arrow; and a host of extended family members.
