Cheryl Jean Miller White, age 71, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025, at Integris Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City, with the quiet comfort of her husband's hand in hers.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her beloved father, Charles Miller; her mother, Bessie Anne Miller; and her brother, Ripp Julius Miller. Their memories remained close to her heart.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael White; her daughter, Michelle White, and grandson, Andrew Grygo; her son, Patrick White; her sister, Regina Gail Miller; and her uncle, Jerome Miller. Cheryl also leaves behind her granddaughters, Bianca White and Fiona White; and grandniece, Kyla Ahern, and grandnephew, Silas Ahern.

Cheryl cared deeply for the people she loved, for the greater world around her, and for the many lives she touched throughout her time here. As a registered nurse, she gave her patients not just clinical care but genuine compassion.

She was also a creative force in the folk music community, where science fiction and folk traditions intertwine. Cheryl co-created and recorded The Cosmic Connection and Great Broads of the Galaxy, an album celebrating bold women and imaginative worlds through original songs and storytelling, alongside her beloved camp friends Jeanne Cloud, Joyce DeBoard, Jackie Bielowicz, Raynett Dodge, Susan Farrell, Rhea Brainerd, Andrea Martin, and Karen Figart.

One of Cheryl's greatest joys each year was gathering with her close-knit group of friends at camp, a tradition filled with laughter, creativity, and deep companionship that nourished her spirit.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Cheryl's life will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Eastern Standard Time, at The Community House, Garden Room, in Moorestown, New Jersey. This heartfelt tribute will be filled with music, memory, and love. For those who knew Cheryl and wish to join us in spirit, the program will be live streamed and recorded so her memory may be honored across the many places and people she touched. A link can be provided upon request.
