Dale Vernon Money entered his heavenly home on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the age of 94. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.

A funeral service celebrating Dale's life will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 13, at the Jim Groesbeck Chapel at Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Waukomis Cemetery in Waukomis, Oklahoma. Viewing will be held Thursday from 12 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home, with Masonic rites to follow at 6 p.m.

Dale was born on March 17, 1931, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Claude Vernon Money and Ruth Esta (DeHart) Money. He attended Cleveland Junior High and graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1949. He later continued his education at Phillips University in Enid.

Dale married Shirley Shuppert, and they shared 19 years of marriage and family life. In 1991, he married Juanita, and they were devoted to one another until her passing in 2022.

Over the course of his long and full life, Dale worked in a variety of roles that reflected his resourcefulness and dedication. He drove for Cintas, ran a laundry service, and even sold choir robes. He worked for 17 years as an electrician with Sand Springs Public Schools and developed a reputation for his skill in pump organ repair—an expertise so trusted that people from as far away as Canada sought him out for his meticulous work.

Dale moved to Sand Springs in 1975 and became an active and faithful member of the community. He served as a choir director for many years, sharing his love of music at Eastside Christian Church, Rose Hill United Methodist Church, and First Christian Church of Sand Springs. He also enjoyed square dancing, gardening, yard work, and burning leaves in the fall.

A man of quiet strength and complex character, Dale was known for being stubborn and innovative, handy and compassionate, authoritative and deeply caring. He held his cards close but showed his love clearly in the way he devoted himself to his family. He especially cherished time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dale was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Juanita; his parents; and his infant sister, Joyce Marie Money.

He is survived by his children: Cathy Cloughly and husband Jim, Mark Money and wife Rosanne, Steven Money and wife Tammie, and Jonathan Money and wife Brenda Robe; grandchildren: Jennifer Cloughly, Breana Juby and husband Danny, Jordana Money and husband Chris Waring, Joshua Money, Adam Money, Miranda Money, and J.J. Money; and great-grandchildren: Mollie, Kylie, Garret, Nathan, Brody, Zoey, and Sawyer.

Dale's legacy lives on through the lives he touched, the music he shared, and the family who loved him.
