Dan James Smith, 91, Beggs, OK, went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, October 11, 2026.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service. Services for Dan will be Friday, October 16, 2026, 10:00 a.m., at Mobley Groesbeck Chapel, Sand Springs, OK. Visitation for Dan will be Thursday, October 15, 2026 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Dan was born in Boyington, OK on January 18, 1935 to Claude Smith (Dad) and Myrtle Neal Smith (Mom). He found the love of his life and was married to Sharron Ward in Sapulpa, OK on November 7, 1955. Together they enjoyed almost 67 years of marriage. For many years Dan worked for Foltz Exterminator as an exterminator. He was a wonderful son, husband, daddy, and papa. His passion was family, fishing, and hunting, but he always had time to spend with his wife, kids, and grandkids. He was a member of Beggs First Assembly of God and loved reading his Bible. His great smile and positive attitude will be missed by both family and friends.

Preceding Dan in death were his parents; wife Sharron Smith; sons Rickey Smith, Steve Smith, and Mike Smith; brothers and sisters.

Dan is survived by his daughter Cathey Smith; daughter-in-law Nancy Smith; grandkids Shanna Smith, Waylon Smith, Amanda Phillips, Justin Smith, Stephanie Smith, Daniel Smith, Tony Smith, Sarah Fields, Jenny Dismang, Shelbie Smith; 25 great grandkids; 4 great-great grandkids; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and a host of friends.
