David Michael Pate, 57 of Tulsa passed away at home on Saturday, February 24, 2024.

David was born to Jerry William and Sarah Louise (Hines) Cothran on May 16, 1966, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After graduating from Charles Page High School in Sand Springs, OK he began a career with Tulsa Public Schools that spanned 25 years. Later in life, he did carpentry work and worked in commercial construction.

David was an avid fisherman, but especially loved bass fishing. He enjoyed spending time on his boat with friends and family at Grand Lake. He also had a love for music and was always ready for a concert and T-shirt.

He was a Son, Grand Son, Dad, Brother and an Uncle and good friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

David is survived by his son Eric, two grandchildren Brock and Brooke Pate; his brother Jason and wife Jennifer Pate; and sister Kimberli "Kim" Carr; 7 nephews Josh, Justin, Christian, Jacob, Caleb, Jarrett, and Jace, and 1 great nephew Trenton, 7 great nieces Kyleigh, Sarah, Lilley, Zoey, Rachel, Jaeden, and Brooke, 1 great great niece Halo, and a host of friends and extended family.

David was preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Sarah, a brother, Joshua Christopher, maternal grandparents Emmett, and Frederica (Appel) Hines, uncle Kenny Hines, and stepfather Jeffery Owens.

Services will be held June 23, 2024 from 2pm-5pm at 3402 N. Osage Dr., Tulsa, OK 74127.
