Deborah Kay Parsons, age 76, passed from this life on March 27, 2026.

She was born November 13, 1949, in Skiatook, Oklahoma, to Gerald and Helen Delk. Deborah spent her early years in Avant and the Tulsa area, where she attended McLain High School. She later continued her education at Tulsa Junior College, earning credentials in accounting and business, and pursued religious studies at the University of Tulsa.

On May 3, 1965, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Deborah married the love of her life, Bill G. Parsons. Together, they shared many years of marriage, building a life centered on family, faith, and devotion.

Deborah spent much of her professional life working in accounting within the oil and gas industry, including time with Pro-Quip and Elder companies. She was known for her strong work ethic and dedication.

A woman of many interests and talents, Deborah enjoyed reading and crocheting and was actively involved in her community. She had a love for softball, participating as both a player and a coach, and she served as a Girl Scout leader, positively impacting the lives of many young women. Above all, Deborah cherished time spent with her family—especially her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She delighted in taking them to the movies, playing games, and creating lasting memories.

Deborah made her home in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, where she spent the majority of her adult life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Helen, and her husband, Bill G. Parsons.

She is survived by her children, Leona Thornburg and husband Bob; Denise Firey and husband James; and Charles Parsons and wife Honey; her sister, Karen Parsons; her grandchildren, Melissa Veldkamp, Christopher Parsons, Theresa Parsons, Quinton and Emily Firey; and her great-grandchildren, Slade Veldkamp and Kohen Firey, along with other extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
