Delores was born on January 31, 1935, in Newton, KS to George Jacob and Thelma Mary (Blecher) Klein.

During her high school years, Delores decided that she was going to be an auto mechanic, much to the chagrin of her teachers.  She was the first woman in Kansas to attend the automotive tech school as well as the first woman auto mechanic in the state.  She missed certification as a Master Mechanic by one month.

Delores worked in various shops until joining Vickers Oil Company.  After several years with them in Kansas, they transferred her to Tulsa in 1974.

Delores opened her own shop with a partner, the Quicksilver Fleet Service in Tulsa which she operated for over 25 years.

She was a devoted member of the Mission Christian Church for 25 years, serving among other duties as a greeter, where she was known as the Hugger.  She greeted everyone with a hug, and it was a contagious hug, spreading love throughout the congregation, the pastor reports.

Delores was a loving Christian, mother, grandmother and a very giving woman, to anyone need help.
