Diane Evelyn Vandivort, a woman of unwavering strength, passed away on November 20, 2023, at the OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, surrounded by love. Born on November 4, 1949, in Red Wing, Minnesota, Diane was the daughter of Robert Edward Boxrud and Dorothy Susan (Krier) Boxrud. Her journey through life was marked by profound dedication, compassion, and an unyielding spirit.
For three decades, Diane lent her expertise as a data analyst to Southern Glazers Wine and Spirits in Tulsa, leaving an indelible mark on her profession. She is survived by her cherished children: Jody Critser, Jason Lynch and his wife, Emily, Lori Dodge and her husband, Russ, and Jim Gaston and his wife, Becky; grandchildren: Krysta Diane Hand, Macy Dunkelberg and her husband, David, Sumer Lynch, Russ Allen Dodge, Lakin Dodge, Larissa Dodge, and Kristine Smith; great-grandchildren: Jordyn Jane Wolf, Leah White, Dawson Dunkelberg, Wynnly Grace Hand, and Nora Smith, with one great-granddaughter on the way, Evee Sage. Diane's memory is also carried on by her siblings, Nancy Ryan and her husband, Mike, Lori Colwell and her husband, Mike, Barbara Nale and her husband, Jim, Scott Boxrud and his wife, Jill, along with step-siblings, Tim Haun and Sherry Dixon. Diane's parents, brother, Steven Boxrud and his wife, Billie, preceded her in death.
In Diane's life story, family held a paramount place. Her upbringing in Goodhue, Minnesota, and graduation from Downey High School in California were foundational moments. Her adventurous spirit led her to Indiana, Lakewood, Oakdale, and eventually to Lake Keystone after marrying Richard. Diane was an active member of Life Church in Broken Arrow and found joy in waterskiing, reading, holidays, flea markets, NASCAR, car shows, and engaging in heartfelt conversations with her beloved sisters, a highlight of every month.
Characterized by her Type A personality, unyielding determination, and deeply rooted faith, Diane was a devoted Republican and Christian who adored Jesus wholeheartedly. Her generosity, wisdom, and dedication were pillars of her character, making her a cherished figure, especially as Jody's closest confidante and best friend.
