It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Donald Eugene Fought, Jr., a devoted husband, father, PawPaw, son, brother, and friend, who left us on September 5, 2025 at the age of 65.

Born on February 10, 1960 in Fremont, Ohio, Don lived a life rooted in love for Christ, his family, and serving others. He was the beloved husband of Susan Fought, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage, and a proud father to Christina Opfer, Brian Fought, Brandon Fought, and Jami Nguyen. His family was his greatest joy, and he gave them the gifts of understanding, attention, and service. He loved spending time with his family and playing games, especially card games.

Don will be remembered for his quiet and gentle demeanor, generosity, and acceptance of everyone. He was a faithful member at Olivet Baptist Church where he was the teacher of the Promise Keepers Sunday School class. He loved greeting people, handing out bulletins on Sunday mornings, and giving hugs. He will be remembered for the countless ways he touched the lives of those around him.

Don was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Ann Fought.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Cook Fought; his children, Christina Fought Opfer, and husband Derek; Brian Fought and wife Jennifer; Brandon Fought and wife Hannah; Jami Gillum Nguyen and husband John; and his grandchildren: Benjamin and Jackson Opfer; Johnathan and Madison Fought; Chelbey Gillum and Julianne Nguyen. He is also survived by his father, Donald Eugene Fought; and his brothers, Doug Fought and wife Mandi, and David Fought and wife Jeanette; and a great number of family and friends. His memory will live on in the countless lives he touched and the love he gave so freely.

A service to honor and celebrate Don's life will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 10:00am at Olivet Baptist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The family will have visitation at Olivet's Family Life Center on Monday, September 8 from 6:00-8:00pm. The family kindly requests donations be made to Olivet Baptist Church, Promise Builders Ministry or Brazil Mission team, in his memory.

Though his absence leaves an immeasurable void, his love and legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
