Edward L
Davis
Jun 19, 1945 — Sep 24, 2022
Sand Springs
Edward "Ed" Lemoin Davis entered the gates of heaven into the arms of Jesus on September 24, 2022. Next to Jesus stood his sweet 8-year-old daughter Tracy Louise Davis, from her birth in 1967 and departure in 1975, she has forever been the love of Ed's life.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Friday, September 30,2022 at Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. E. Darlene Lundy-Veo officiating. Ed will be laid to rest at Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook. Ed was born June 19, 1945, in Tulsa, OK, to Roy Wayne Davis and Alma Ruth Hanson Davis. He enjoyed his country upbringing living in Turley and going to school in Sperry. His dad was a cow hand taking care of milk cows and Ed was his helper milking cows early morning before school. Ed became a self-made small town businessman selling a cow for a motorcycle and then trading it for a car. He continued wheeling and dealing the rest of his life, buying one thing to trade it for another. When he had enough of small-town living, he joined the army at age 17 where he served his country for 7 years. After returning home, he worked with the Sand Springs Fire Department as a fireman and EMT. Many years passed and one Fat Tuesday celebration he met his forever sweetheart, Debra Lynn Fabry. It was definitely a God thing as he and she needed each other in their lives. Ed was active in many things over the course of his life. He loved to hunt and fish and having a man cave with all kinds of animal things. Later he started his own lawn care service which eventually led to remodeling. Afterwards, he bought and sold antiques. He bought a motorhome and traveled. At home, he loved yard work, being a general Mr. Fix-it, and refurbishing old FORD tractors. He loved hanging out with his grandkids and loved his dogs. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Tracy, his brothers, Pete and Joe, his sisters Lena, Rosemary and Joyce, and his twin great granddaughters, Everleigh Rose & Serenty Ora Scott.
Survivors include his loving faithful wife of 33 years Debra, stepdaughter Angela Schoenrock (David) of Tulsa, grandchildren Ashleigh Schoenrock of Ft. Worth, TX, and Cayden Schoenrock of Tulsa, OK, great-grandson Kingston Jacolby Scott of Ft. Worth, TX, brother Raymond Davis of Skiatook, OK, and sister Loretta Ray of Owasso, OK. Plus, several nieces and nephews.
God blessed us with a wonderful man, and he will be missed for the rest of our lives. Go rest high on that mountain Ed, we love you!
