Elden Archie
Hale
Feb 14, 1950 — Feb 13, 2025
Sand Springs
Elden Archie Hale, 74, departed this life on February 13, 2025. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.
Elden was born on February 14, 1950, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Yarden Archie Hale and Lawanda Jean Nichols. He grew up in Vinita and Turley, where he spent his early years before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force. He honorably served his country during the Vietnam War. After returning home, Elden began a career as a machinist, a profession he truly enjoyed. His skill and dedication to his work carried him through until his retirement in 2013.
Elden had a natural talent for working with his hands. Whether it was fixing small engines, repairing lawnmowers and weed eaters for friends and family, or taking on any broken item. He loved being outdoors, particularly when it came to mowing lawns, and found peace in the simple joys of life.
A strong-willed and determined man, Elden was known for his stubbornness and big heart. He deeply loved his children and grandchildren. On February 14, 2009, he married, Betty Jo Hale, at their home in Prattville.
Elden was preceded in death by his beloved son, Tim Hale, in 2013, as well as his parents. He is survived by his wife, Betty Hale; his children, Gerald Hale of Andrews, Texas, David Hale of Houston, Texas, and Emily Hale of Sand Springs; his cherished grandchildren, Cody Hale and wife Kelsey, Ashley Cramer and husband Hayden, Tori Hale, Toby Hale, Laney Hale, and Preston Hale; four great-grandchildren; and his sister, Madge of Texas.
Elden's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
