Elizabeth Gail Gibbons Cummins was born on December 15, 1951, in McAlester, Oklahoma and peacefully left this life on January 19, 2024.  Gail was kindhearted, and fun loving, intelligent, devoted to her family, and neighbors.  Adored by everyone who knew her.

Born to William L. Gibbons and Betty Gray (McLemore) Gibbons, Gail's early years were marked by the adventures of military life as her family followed her father's career in the Air Force. The family's journeys took them to various corners of the United States until her father's retirement, after which they made their home in Arlington, TX.

Gail graduated from Arlington High School in 1970, setting the stage for a life filled with accomplishments and highlights. She furthered her education at Oklahoma State University, where she became a member of Alpha Chi Omega and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Pathology.

Professionally, Gail began her retailing career with the Sanger Harris department stores for several years prior to joining the Dillard's regional offices, where she excelled as a buyer for men's apparel. It was during her time at Dillard's that she met the love of her life, William M. Cummins.  United in marriage on April 28, 1984, in Arlington, TX, their union was a testament to enduring love and partnership.

Gail's talents were diverse.  She loved completing challenging, intricate knitting patterns, that she graciously gave to her family.  As an embroiderer, and needle pointer, she found joy in the fine details of these crafts. Her love of literature, especially mysteries, reflected her intellectual curiosity.  A culinary enthusiast, she delighted in preparing gourmet meals for her family, especially on holidays.

Elizabeth Gail Gibbons Cummins is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her sister Dena Goetz, leaving a void that will be deeply felt. She is survived by her stepchildren, Camille Cummins and Richard Cummins; grandchildren, Beau, Sean, Caitlin, and Quinn; sisters, Linda Lee, Jill Gibbons; and nephews, William Lee, John Lee, Reid Goetz, Benjamin Goetz, and Michael Goetz.

She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.  May she rest in eternal peace.
