Early in the morning of Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025, Elizabeth (Betty) Guy, passed from this life at the age of 76 years. Betty was born September 27th, 1948, to Schuyler and Elizabeth Stubbs in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Betty was raised in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma by a truck farming daddy who taught her she'd never want to look another green bean in the face unless it was on her plate. Her experience in the truck patch led her to becoming an accomplished musician and a hard worker. She began her career in church music at the age of 15, playing for the congregational singing and became a real worship leader in all the churches that she and her husband pastored. Betty had a great gift for organizing musical worship, producing and leading many Holiday worship programs, and leading the congregation in worship. Betty was a great example of the work of God's grace in the human heart. She demonstrated unconditional love with her family, friends and anyone she met.

She spent most of her working career as a Principal's secretary in three different school systems. She began her career as a school bus driver in Western Oklahoma and secretary for the Isabella, Oklahoma school and retired as secretary of the 6th Grade Center in the Sand Springs, Oklahoma school district.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Claude, two sons, Mark (and Kathy), Matthew (and Andrea), and daughter Lisa Cooper (and Jason). Twelve grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and four sisters, Nancy Williams (and Ellis), Linda Maden, Mary Yaffe, and Debbie Kirkhart (and Rick). She is also survived by her close sister-in-law, Sharon Hayes (and Al).

A Memorial Service will be held at The Sand Springs Church of the Nazarene at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 12, 2025.
