Erma Jene Roquemore, 73, of Tulsa, OK passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024. Born on May 10, 1951, in Detroit, MI, Erma was a woman of remarkable spirit and unyielding passion, who dedicated her life to inspiring others. For her, each person was a new chance to personally impact them positively.

Throughout her life, Erma traveled the world sharing her insights and wisdom as a motivational speaker. She toured the U.S., reaching an overwhelming majority of the states, as well as Canada and Europe. She authored two amazing books on goal setting, How to Create a Goal Mind and 24kt. Goal, which continues to guide others in their personal journeys. She was still working on an unfinished work, Sex Goals, a book about the psychology of goal setting for the different sexes. A master gardener, she found joy in nurturing plants and cultivating beauty in her surroundings. Her love for learning never waned; she returned to community college to earn her associate's degree, demonstrating her belief in lifelong education.

Erma's work with children was a testament to her caring nature. She made a lasting impact through Junior Achievement where she served the community for over two decades, both teaching in classes and volunteering at events. Though she just started substitute teaching at Berry Hill a few years ago, her new venture to get a teaching certification shows that she always sought to empower the next generation.

Her hobbies included gardening, writing, and singing, but it was her infectious enthusiasm for life that truly defined her. One cherished memory involves her son, Jason, watching her speak to an empty room. When he asked who she was addressing, she replied with a smile, "My future audience." True to her word, she cultivated countless audiences, each eager to hear her motivational messages.

Erma is survived by her devoted husband, Mike; beloved son, Jason; stepson, Tyler (Alicia); step-grandchildren: Banks, Max, Savanah and Barrett; brother: Reggie; sisters: Denise (James) and Andrea; brother-n-law: George (Faye); sister-n-law: Jennifer; many, many neices, nephews and cousins; best friend, Deana, and other extend family.

Her insatiable drive to make a difference in the world lives on in all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's in the name of Erma Jene Roquemore.

A celebration of life will be held at the Tulsa Garden Center Mansion on November 16, 2024, at 11:00 AM.
