Evelyn Kathleen
Koenig
Jan 6, 1974 — Jul 22, 2023
Sand Springs
Koenig, Evelyn Kathleen age 49 passed away peacefully at home on July 22,2023. Born January 6,1974 in Omaha, NE.
Evelyn, "Evie" made a career change from Cosmetology to banking, once a 2018 car accident left her with weakened knees. Then blessed for the last five years from employment with Arvest Bank, Evie was able to work from home. Though, in 2019 diagnosed with cancer, her employment gratefully endured throughout the many changes. Also aiding her so during lunch breaks, to be an attentive and listening ear to all she held dear.
*Evelyn was proud of her husband of 17 years, David's accomplishments, supportive when required to be out of area trucking, or nearby her at home.
*An avid reader, she even began a church library. Evie enjoyed wearing the color blue, yet no matter her whereabouts, Evelyn remained a loyal Nebraska Cornhuskers Fan!
*A Warriorius protector of her son's, Tate and Aidan, Evie was willing to go the distance for events, special classes, and interceded on their behaves so they may have good relationships with siblings and their father's significant others. She held on through physical battles and emotional trials to have one last Spring with, and for them and David.
*Evie's smile was the support for anyone she knew, encouraging them "that's alright."
*An only child in a small town, as a youth involved in 4H and barrel racing, Evie's big heart bonded with her horse, and then onto big dogs! 'Bandit' was her constant guarded companion!
*Not one to complain, she often apologized for any need for help. But Evie was gracious about receiving it. At age 4, Evelyn began a relationship with "Christ alone", and was baptized at age 10. However, as we all, Evelyn was imperfect, and painfully aware of her shortcomings, she sought out help. Celebrate Recovery Step Study was especially supportive as she worked through her past, cancer challenges, as well as learning more about "staying on God's path". Evie spoke of her last days, "I've made peace with it."
* Evie is and will forever be greatly missed--until we're reunited to dance with her, within Heaven's gates!
Survived by husband Martin David Koenig, Mother, Grace Zagor, and two sons, Tate and Aidan Stewart, as well as a host of family and loving friends.
