Flo
Inks
Dec 7, 1952 — Feb 14, 2025
Sand Springs
Florence "Flo" Kay Inks entered her heavenly home on Friday, February 14, 2025, at the age of 72. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.
Flo was born on December 7, 1952, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Nathan Mullinax and Katheryn Florence (Records) Mullinax. She grew up and attended school in Tulsa. After completing Job Corps, she began her career as a nurse's aide at a local nursing home, dedicating her life to caring for others.
On June 10, 1978, she married the love of her life, Bobby John Inks, in a ceremony at Chandler Park. Flo devoted many years as a stay-at-home mother, nurturing her family until her daughter reached the age of 16. She then began working part-time housekeeper while continuing to care for her loved ones, particularly her grandchildren. Following the passing of her beloved husband, she retired to take care of her son and continued her lifelong devotion to caring for others.
Flo had a passion for baking, often sharing her delicious cookies, cakes, and brownies with family and friends. She found joy in spoiling her grandchildren and took pride in tending to her flower beds and growing potatoes in her garden. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was a devoted member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Sand Springs and a faithful viewer of Shepherd's Chapel. She found comfort in Christian music and was always eager to share her faith with others, living by the principle of doing right by God.
Flo's personality was as vibrant as her spirit—motherly, caring, feisty, and unafraid to speak her mind. She had a wonderful sense of humor, loved playing pranks, and could always bring a smile to those around her. She was one of the strongest women one could ever meet, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering faith.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Porta Caeli House, 2440 N. Harvard Ave., Tulsa, OK 74115.
Flo was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby; her son, Jeremiah "Joseph" Inks; and her parents. She is survived by her children, Bobbie John Inks, Jr., and Annie Goad and husband, Corey; her cherished grandchildren, John Alexander Inks, Tyler Christopher Poole, Jacob Lee Poole, and Kallie Ann Goad; her great-granddaughter, Oakley Dawn Poole; and sister, Rhea Labrum.
