Forest Jones, 79, of Sand Springs, OK., passed from this life on Saturday July 1,2023.  He was born on July 24, 1943, in Sand Springs, OK graduating from Charles Page High School.  Forest joined the US Army April 17th, 1968, and served in the Vietnam War.  He was discharged with honors on April 23, 1970.  Forest met the love of his life and was united in marriage to Debra Jones on Feb. 10, 1972, in Guymon, Ok.  Mr. Jones was known for his hunting and fishing stories, spending time with his family, and lending a helping hand when asked.  Preceding Forest in death is his wife Debra Jones, sons Christopher, Jesse, and Forest Jr., his father Wallace Jones and mother Caroline (Carry) Jones, and his brothers Wallace (Jr.), and Ferliegh (Buck) Jones.  He is survived by daughter Tina Butte and husband Michael, grandson Christopher Jackson, son Bobby Jones, daughter Caroline, and granddaughter, brother Paul Jones, sister Ellen Dobyns, brother Jesse Jones and his wife Ruthy and a very large amount of nieces and nephews.
