Frances
Cabioc
Oct 23, 1927 — May 24, 2025
Sand Springs
Mary Frances Cabioc entered her heavenly home on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the age of 97. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.
Frances was born on October 23, 1927, in Bemis, Tennessee, to Franklin D. Wise, Sr. and Mary Lee (McKenzie) Wise. At the age of 10, her family moved to Sand Springs, Oklahoma, where she would build a life full of faith, resilience, and love. She graduated from Sand Springs High School in 1945, the last surviving member of her graduating class.
During World War II, Frances corresponded with Bob Hendricks while he served in the U.S. Navy. Their bond grew through letters, and in October 1945, they were married and made their home in Sand Springs. Together, they owned and operated Main Street Garage, serving the community with hard work and dedication. Frances and Bob were blessed with two daughters, Kara and Robin, and shared 25 years of marriage before Bob's passing.
Years later, Frances found companionship again with Oakley "Okie" Cabioc, a childhood friend. They were married at the First Baptist Church in Tulsa and enjoyed 42 years together before his passing in 2022.
Frances was a devoted employee and served as the parts manager at Yellowhouse John Deere until her retirement. She was also a faithful member of Broadway Baptist Church, where she regularly attended Sunday School and lent her talents to the church kitchen.
A talented seamstress, Frances lovingly made clothes for her children and took pride in her creativity. Known for her strong will, she was independent, opinionated, and always determined to do things her own way. Despite a childhood injury that left her badly burned, Frances faced every challenge with courage and an unshakable spirit. She was a gifted cook, a busy hand, and a nurturing mother who taught her daughters the value of independence—a gift she believed was among the greatest she could give them.
Frances was preceded in death by her husbands, Bob Hendricks and Okie Cabioc; her daughter, Robin Hendricks; her son-in-law, Dave Morris; and her siblings, Marilyn Curry, Allen Wise, and Frank Wise, Jr.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Kara Morris, and a host of extended family members who will cherish her memory.
Frances's life was marked by perseverance, love, and service. She will be remembered for her strength, her honesty, and her unwavering devotion to those she loved.
