Freda E.
Casey
Mar 3, 1931 — Jul 2, 2025
Sand Springs
Freda Elnora Casey (Jenkins), age 94, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on July 2nd, 2025.
Born on March 3rd, 1931, in Colgate, Oklahoma, to Frank and Ethel Jenkins, Freda lived a vibrant and love-filled life. She was a proud and longtime resident of Sand Springs, where she built her home, her family, and her community.
Freda was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ethel Jenkins; brothers Thurston, Bob, and Carl Jenkins; sisters Velma McCorkle, Helen McCorkle, and Dorothy Burdette; her first husband, Doyle Casey, and second husband, Buel Turner; her son-in-law Danny Barger; grandson Daniel Barger; niece Joyce Carter; and nephews Tommy Hodges (her golden child) and Richard McCorkle.
She is survived by her beloved sister, Mavis Hodges, and husband Tom; daughter Connie Barger; granddaughters Rebecca Khan and Angela Barger (and husband Robert Lipscomb); and great-grandchildren Malachi Barger, Karson Barger, Bryson Lipscomb, Jaxon Lipscomb, and Isabella Thomas. Freda also leaves behind a large, loving extended family of nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Freda retired after 27 years of dedicated service at the box factory in Sand Springs. Outside of work, she lived life with joy and enthusiasm. She loved fishing, dancing, camping, playing cards, bingo, and bowling. She was the life of the party, hosting bingo nights at her house, weekly card games, and a cherished New Year's Eve party each year.
Her faith was the foundation of her life. A devoted member of Trinity Baptist Church for over 50 years, she also found a second church home at Limestone Baptist. Her church families meant the world to her, but Jesus always came first in her heart.
Freda's legacy of love, laughter, and faith will live on in all who knew her.
