Gary Kent Beck passed away on August 15, 2022, at St. Francis Hospital at the age of 82. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.

Gary was born October 30, 1939, in Herrick, Illinois, to William Harvey Beck and Melva Jean (Walker) Black.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Becky West, brother, Terry Black and stepfather, Gale Black.

Survivors include his daughter, Cathy Michelle Vanek and husband, John; sons: Gary Monroe Beck and wife Kellie, Kevin Gale Beck and wife, Debbie, and Shawn Harvey Beck of Jupiter, FL; sister Patty King and husband, Steven of Sapulpa; brothers: Tom Black and wife Donna, of Highland, IL, Steve Black and wife Ederlinda of Lafayette, IN.  He had 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Music was a way of life for Gary, and he loved singing, performing and writing songs.  He enjoyed his kids and grandkids very much.  Being part of the church community and getting to know people was a big part of his life. Gary was a welder for Perry Submarine in Riveria Beach Florida.

His family will have a celebration of life service in Florida in next few weeks.
