Gary Richard
Skill, Sr.
May 19, 1939 — Jul 17, 2022
Sand Springs
Gary Richard, Skill, Sr., went to his heavenly home on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at the age of 83. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Keystone Hills Baptist Church. Military honors will be presented by the U.S. Navy.
The son of Felix Samuel "Sam" Skill and Lorraine Frances (Flagg) Skill was born May 19, 1939, in Long Beach, California. Gary attended Santa Ana High School and at the age of 17 entered the U.S. Navy. He established a printing company, Skilled Graphics, in Irvine, CA, and served the community for 26 years. After his retirement he was known as "The Computer Guy" helping the elderly fix their computers.
After moving to Oklahoma City to be near his half-brother, Gary met the love of his life, Gloria "Ann" Cagle. They were married on May 18, 2013, in Sapulpa, and made their home in Sand Springs. Gary and Ann shared a special friendship talking into all hours of the night and going out to eat.
Gary spent countless hours on his computer playing games and checked his farm on Farmville each morning. He was a strong Italian who told it like it is. A die hard republican, that was opinionated and enjoyed discussing politics. Gary was a true character that enjoyed bringing joy to others with a joke and a laugh.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his loving wife, Ann of the home; children: Gene Lytle and wife, Rachel of Exeter, CA, Jeff Marshall of Southaven, MS, Brian Marshall and wife, Beth of Lake Cormorant, MS, and Kim Manuel and husband, Jon of Sand Springs; and grandchildren: Brittany Lytle, Brandon Lytle, Madison Marshall, Asher Marshall, Annah Marshall, Ava Berry, Katelyn Manuel, Jesse Manuel, Levi Manuel, and Emily Ann Manuel.
