Gayle Frances Casey was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She moved with her family to Venezuela at a young age. They lived in Quiriquire, Caracas and Tia Juana in Venezuela. After graduating high school from Colegio Americano in Caracas, she attended Centre University in Danville, KY.

Before settling in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she lived in Ohio, Florida, California and Texas. During those years, she held several positions as a florist, security guard and finally a church secretary before retiring. A very private person, she preferred a quiet simple life.

Central to her life was her faith, the Catholic Church, books, a good sense of humor and cats. These sustained her during the last difficult years struggling with emphysema. However, even in death she contributed in her usual quiet way by being a tissue donor.

Predeceased by her husband Walter Casey, she is survived by her two siblings (her reason for never having children of her own), her husband's children as well as numerous nieces, nephews and grandnephews and her cat Bitty.
