George Harrison Tockey III, 86, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Fresno, California, in 1938 to George and Margaret Tockey, George's life was marked by service, family, and a steadfast work ethic. His patriotic spirit led him to enlist in the Navy in 1956, where he served with honor for six years aboard the USS Essex as an Aviation Boatswains Mate, Second Class Petty Officer. This experience was a source of immense pride for him.

After his naval service, George dedicated his life to his family and career. He was a loving father to his five sons: Michael, Nicholas, Curtis, Justin, and Matthew and a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Patty.  He cherished the role of grandfather to Samantha, Gabriel, Logan, and Archer, and delighted in sharing his love of the outdoors and life's simple pleasures with them.

George was a hardworking man who spent many years as a manager for Woolworths and TG&Y as well as a dedicated employee at his father-in-law's business, Moon's Paint and Body Shop. He retired in 2009, allowing him more time to enjoy his passions: boating on Lake Keystone, fishing with Patty, and tending to his home. George was a skilled handyman, always ready to tackle a home repair project, and he took great pride in his yard.

His family will fondly remember his infectious laugh, his kind heart, and his unwavering love and support. George will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and dedication.
