Gilbert Charles Mallonee, Jr. departed this life on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at St. John Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 59. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 15, at the Mobley-Groesbeck Chapel with Pastor Warren Kiper officiating.

The son of Gilbert Charles Mallonee, Sr. and Helen Louise (Wells) Keigley was born July 3, 1962, at Bartlett Memorial Hospital in Sapulpa. Gilbert grew up in the Mounds and Beggs communities. He was a jack of all trades, and especially good with motors. He had a passion for mechanic work, and was well known for the excellent work he did. Gilbert also learned carpentry from his father, and continued his father's skilled work.

On October 19, 2019, Gilbert married Ashley Nicole Floyd at his mom's home in Sapulpa. Gilbert was a soft spoken, likeable person. Everyone that he met liked him. He enjoyed fishing; and was an avid NASCAR fan. He especially enjoyed cheering on Jimmy Johnson.

Gilbert is preceded in death by his father, Gilbert; and siblings: Freddie Mallonee and Peggy Darlene Linzey.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Ashley of the home; children: Roger and Morgan Mallonee; step-children: Chloe and Adrian Garcia of Arkansas; mother, Helen Keigley of Sapulpa; and siblings: Shirley Hurst and husband, Kenny of Okmulgee, Randy Mallonee and wife, Tonya of Beggs, Tommie Jo Hemphill of Okmulgee, and Carol Ann Makinson and husband, Wayne of Okmulgee.
