Gillie Jackson
Younger
Jul 26, 1987 — May 8, 2025
Tulsa
Gillie Jackson Younger entered his heavenly home on Thursday, May 8, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 37. Gillie was born on July 26, 1987 in Tulsa to Jack and Karen Younger. He graduated from Sand Springs' Charles Page High School and continued his education at Oklahoma State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology.
Gillie enjoyed using his engineering talents by designing and creating a variety of Lego designs. He had a knack for planning and executing fancy meals for his friends and family. He enjoyed anime, board games (excluding Monopoly), video games and was seriously into hand painting Warhammer miniatures. He recently had the time of his life when he took a trip to Washington D.C. with his family and got to explore the Air and Space Museum and see the original studio model of the starship Enterprise used in the 1960's Star Trek TV series but what he remembered most was visiting Arlington National Cemetery. Gillie had a loud, infectious laugh that sometimes would come out of nowhere, but that's what made it so special. He was smart, witty, gentle and kind. Gillie will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jack Younger and niece, Madyson Akins, grandparents Gillie W. and Marcella Younger and Leroy and Carolyn Slate, and aunt Sherry Younger Conkling.
He is survived by his mother, Karen E. Younger of Tulsa, sister, Jessica Akins and husband Bryan, along with nephews Bryson and Cason Akins of Shawnee, Ok, brother-in-law, Mitchell Burrus of Sand Springs, Ok, cousins Susie Conkling Lippert and Bill Conkling Jr. of Yankton, SD, and longtime friend and companion LaDonna Winebrenner of Tulsa.
