Marvin Glen Harrison, fondly known as Glen, entered this world on August 4, 1954, in Tulsa, born to Marvin Harrison and Montie (Sorrels) Harrison. His journey concluded on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, marking the end of a life dedicated to family, service, and quiet generosity. He passed away at the age of 69, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of selflessness.

Glen's professional tenure was defined by his role as a Journeyman electrician at Tulsa Public Schools, a commitment that spanned over three decades until his well-deserved retirement six years ago. His dedication and skill in his craft were emblematic of his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family.

Beyond his professional life, Glen's heart truly belonged to his loved ones. He married his beloved Patricia Jane Hightower on October 22, 1973, in Tulsa. Their union was a cornerstone of his life, shaping their home in Tulsa where they nurtured their daughter, Jessica. Glen was a family man through and through, his love extending to his grandchildren: Matthew, Shania, Aiden, Nikkia, Byron, and Christopher Jr.

Glen's passions were simple yet profound. He relished spending time with his grandchildren, sharing his wisdom and joyfully creating lasting memories, often taking them on adventures to the movies or on road trips across the country. His love for travel was evident in his explorations, from the scenic beauty of Mt. Rushmore to the enigmatic allure of Area 51, and even the thrill of a recent zipline adventure in Texas.

A man of routine and punctuality, Glen also cherished his Thursday nights, where he unwound with friends over a beer. His reliability and calm demeanor were constants in the lives of those who knew him. He was a friend who remained steadfast, always putting others before himself, offering assistance and generosity without hesitation.

In his passing, Glen leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and unwavering love for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his daughter, grandchildren, sister Frieda Hicks, and a multitude of friends whose lives he touched in profound ways.

The funeral service to honor Marvin Glen Harrison's life will take place at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 27, at the Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Pastor Don Cook. Visitation hours will be held from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home, with a special time for family and friends to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Glen's legacy lives on through the memories he created and the lives he enriched with his compassion and selflessness. He will forever be remembered as a devoted family man, a loyal friend, and a pillar of unwavering support in the lives of those he touched.
