Glenda Anne
Clark
Feb 20, 1934 — May 23, 2022
Sand Springs
Glenda Anne Masden Clark passed from this earthly life to her heavenly home on May 23, 2022, at the age of eighty-eight, at her home in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
Glenda was born on February 20, 1934, in Sibley, Missouri, to Dorsey and Martha Masden. Glenda grew up during the Great Depression. When she was a child, someone asked her what they were having for supper, and Glenda replied, "Beans and 'taters or 'taters and beans." Even though they didn't have much money, Glenda said that was something she never noticed, as her loving, hardworking parents gave her a childhood filled with love, peace, and stability, as well as the example of their morally upright lives.
On August 7, 1949, Glenda married Frederick Ray Clark in Atherton, Missouri. They had four kids. Glenda stayed home to raise her four children until she entered the workforce in the early 1970's. She worked in the oil industry as a data entry operator until she retired in her sixties.
Glenda was a graduate of Buckner High School in Buckner, Missouri. Glenda, Fred, and their four kids lived in Missouri until they moved to Sand Springs, Oklahoma, in the mid-sixties. Glenda has lived in her present home since 1980.
The most important thing in life to Glenda was her family. She not only raised her four kids, but she had a large role in raising her grandkids, as well. She was always there for everybody, and everyone could always count on her for emotional support and advice.
Glenda loved bowling, reading, doing crossword puzzles/word searches, gardening, Houston Astros baseball, and listening to country music; her favourite was George Strait. She was a good cook; she was always in the kitchen during holidays preparing delicious meals for her extended family.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Dorsey and Martha Masden; her husband, Frederick Ray Clark; her youngest son, Ronald Ray Clark; and her sister, Dorothy Louise Masden McDonald. Glenda is survived by her daughter, Audrey Gage, sons Christaphor Clark and Steven Clark, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren with another one on the way.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Home in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Glenda's funeral service, which will be a celebration of her life, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at the Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service Chapel, with interment following at Woodland Cemetery in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
