Hazel Lorene Talley was born December 30th, 1933, in Jumbo, Oklahoma to parents, Enoch and Lucy Harden.  Hazel moved to Arkansas during her teenage years and met James Talley, whom she would marry On November 3rd, 1947, in Biscoe Arkansas. They were married for 74 years.

Hazel and Jim moved to Tulsa shortly after marriage to begin their life together. Hazel and James shared four children, Loretta, Wayne, Carolyn, and Brenda.  Hazel worked at Sherwood Manor Nursing Home as a Dietary Aide, leaving briefly to work at Zebco and then returning to Sherwood Manor to work as the facility's Dietician for more than 25 years before retiring.  Hazel enjoyed crocheting, reading, and watching Wrestling on Mondays and Fridays with her daughters. In fact, many of her grandchildren spent their childhood going to her home and watching wrestling as kids with her.  Hazel loved family get-togethers and spending time with her Children, Grandchildren, and her little dog Johnny.  She spent many years cooking her famous Chicken and Dumplings during the holidays or when someone was not feeling well. Another family favorite was her homemade Banana Ice Cream which she would often make on the 4th of July. Everyone looked forward to that!
