Listen to Obituary

Jack left for his Heavenly Home on October 3, 2021.  He was born in Harrison, Arkansas on August 26, 1935 to Edith and Jack Daniel.

Jack is survived by his wife, of 31 years, Mary; step-son, Rick and Andrea Belvins; granddaughters, Zoe and Sophie Blevins; daughter, Tracey Price; his sister, Carol Hammons; several nieces and nephews.  His sister, Ramona Simms and step-son, Randy Blevins preceded him in death.  Jack retired from Stone Container Corporation after many years of hard work.  He was a member of Garden Heights Freewill Baptist Church.  Jack enjoyed his pastor and friends, there.

He is being missed by more people than he imagined.  Jack loved his sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals and OU Sooners.  He loved watching old war movies and westerns on TV.  Jack was a very good historian.  His true stories about Sand Springs will be missed.  He knew everyone, where they lived and most of their life stories.  Being the son of an old time police chief, he saw it all and remembered it all, to tell about it.  Jack never got around to writing the book that he always wanted.

Memorial services will be 12 p.m., Thursday, October 21, at Garden Heights Free Will Baptist Church.

Care being trusted to Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service.
