Janice Kay (Vann) Trower, 76 of Skiatook, Oklahoma passed away at her home on Monday August 12th, 2024 with her family present.

Care of Janice's services are entrusted to Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 12 noon to 8:00 pm with the family receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday August 17th, 2024 at 11:00 am at Life Church located at 890 West 81st Street Tulsa, OK. Interment will follow at Moodys Cemetery, north of Tahlequah, Oklahoma at 2:00 pm.

Janice was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on July 29th, 1948 to John Watie and Ruby Catherine (Cole) Vann. She graduated from Charles Page High School and received her Bachelor of Arts in Math and Teaching, with a minor in English, from Northeastern State University. Janice began her teaching career in Coweta, Oklahoma, continuing in Mannford, Oklahoma and finally retiring after several years at Clyde Boyd Junior High in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.

Janice married the love of her life, Michael Allen Trower, on April 11th, 1970 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and celebrated 54 years of marriage in April of 2024. To this marriage, they had two amazing children, Todd and Angela.

Janice enjoyed baking, fishing, working puzzles and loving her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Mike; son, Todd; daughter, Angela and her husband Dustin; two brothers, Jim Vann (Lynda), Steve Vann (Pam); grandchildren, Corbin Hunt (Brittany), Braden Trower, Ethan Trower, Lucey Trower, McKenna Covington (Leslie Hughes Covington, III), and Drake Melton.

Janice was preceded by her parents, John "Watie" Vann and Ruby Cole.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to the Sand Springs Education Foundation.
