Estil Jaunita (Barker) Ward, 88 of Skiatook passed away on Saturday July 23, 2022, in Tulsa.

Services for Jaunita are under the direction of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs, Oklahoma.

Jaunita was born to Oscar O'Dolphus and Myrtle (Torrence) Barker on January 8, 1934, in Milfay, Oklahoma.  She graduated from high school in Kansas, Oklahoma and attended Eastern State College majoring in business.   She married the love of her life, Willard Emzly Ward on September 2, 1955, in Sand Springs, and celebrated 47 years at the time of his death in 2002.

Jaunita worked in the clothing department of Hissom Hospital and School for a dozen years then was a stay-at-home mother for her children.

Jaunita enjoyed several sports with Willard, including golf, where she made a hole in One, being on a bowling team with friends, gardening and the country life.   She had been a member of the First Baptist Church of Wagoner and attended Delaware Missionary Baptist Church with her daughters' family.

Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl J. Cartwright (Terry); son, Willard "Greg" Ward (Jeannette); sister, Josephine Adams; three grandchildren, Shelton Ward, Nick Ward, Trinity Cartwright; and three great grandchildren, Elin, Corbin and Maura Ward.

Jaunita was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Willard; and daughter, Nita Jo (Ward) Haughey.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 26 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service and funeral services held at the Delaware Baptist Church at 10:00 am on Wednesday July 27, 2022.
