Wilma Jewel "JuJu" Butler entered her heavenly home on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at the age of 82. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.

A graveside service celebrating Jewel's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1, at Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery with Charles Matlock officiating. Viewing will be held from 12:00–8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Jewel was born on November 13, 1942, in Mannford, to John Wesley Butler and Maebelle (Ivy) Butler. Around the age of 11, her family moved to the Prattville area, where she lived in the same home for most of her life. A proud graduate of Charles Page High School, Class of 1960, Jewel made a lifelong impact on those around her through her unwavering kindness, faith, and generosity.

Jewel spent much of her life caring for others. She helped raise her many nieces and nephews, lovingly cared for her mother in her final days, and was a devoted caregiver to numerous families over the years. She was a faithful and longtime member of Prattwood Assembly of God.

She had a passion for reading, a willingness to help anyone in need, and a personality that was both forthright and full of love. Her heart was truly golden. She was the kind of person people described as "the sweetest lady" — a rare and treasured soul whose presence was a gift to her family and community.

Jewel was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Johnny Lee Butler; her niece, Andrea Blocker; and her nephew, James Butler.

Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Judith Hamilton and husband Jim of Sand Springs; nieces and nephews: Tamra Connor and husband Tim of Florida, Johnny Butler and wife Hala of Alabama, Andrea's husband Greg Blocker of Edmond, James's wife Teresa Butler of Olive, and Amy Holloway of Sand Springs; along with three great-nephews, five great-nieces, and numerous great-great-nieces and nephews.

Jewel will be remembered with love, gratitude, and deep admiration by all who knew her.
