James Darrell "Jim" Kimball, 90, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2024. Jim was born on September 26, 1933, in Collinsville, Oklahoma, to James Virgil "Jack" Kimball and Martha Alma (Mattison) Kimball.

Jim attended Coweta High School and went on to work on several ranches after high school. He was a rodeo clown throughout his young adult years and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

JIm was introduced to Dorothy Lucille Cornelius by her aunt and uncle. Their first date was at the rodeo, and after a short courtship on November 6, 1954, in Coweta, they were united in marriage.

Jim graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, with a bachelor's degree in theology. He was proud to have made the Dean's Honor Roll every semester. Jim and Dorothy were blessed with four children: Michael, Sharon, Mark, and David.

Jim was a theologian at heart, a student of the Word, and put his whole heart into everything he did. During college, he pastored at Calvary Baptist Church in Nixa, Missouri. Jim was called to minister at 11th Street Baptist Church in Sand Springs, which later became Heritage Baptist Church. Jim and Dorothy raised their children in Sand Springs and served the community together for 42 years.

Dorothy passed away in 2009. Jim would find love again with Ruby Mae (Simmons) Graves. They were united in marriage on March 9, 2011, at Faith Baptist Church in Tulsa.

Jim was a dedicated family man, and dearly loved his family. He was an outdoorsman, enjoyed playing sports, and had a natural skill in construction. He especially enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing softball; as well as watching the Washington Redskins and Kansas City Royals.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy in 2009; his son, Michael Kimball; his parents; his brother, Joe Kimball; sister, Maxine Cummings; and daughter-in-law, Nadine Kimball.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Ruby of the home; children: Sharon Fields and husband, Hank of Ruby, South Carolina, Mark Kimball of Tulsa, and David Kimball and wife, Michelle of Broken Arrow; sister, Marie Holmes of Sperry; extended family: Rick Graves and wife, Becky of Wilmington, North Carolina, Brian Graves and wife, Christy of Pensacola, Florida, Scotty Graves and wife, Stephanie of Byron, California, and Mike Petrick; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
