Sand Springs
John Christopher Grammer entered his heavenly home on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at the age of 79. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.
John was born March 2, 1944, in Joplin, Missouri, to John Christopher Grammer and Winnie Mae (Large) Grammer. It was while attending Riverton High School in Baxter Springs, KS, that John met the love of his life, Marilyn Joanne Watson. John graduated in 1962, and continued his education at Pittsburg State University. On August 15, 1964, John and Marilyn were united in marriage at his mother's home. After John earned his bachelor's degree, the couple moved to Sand Springs where they raised their three children: Patty, Cindy, and John. John was sharp and worked in management for Texo, American Smelting and Refining, and Federated Metals.
In his spare time, John enjoyed being outdoors fishing and also enjoyed reading. John was a good, honest man who led his family with integrity and a strong Christian faith.
John is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Jane Holt.
