John Howard Heustis, 72, Sand Springs, Oklahoma, passed from this life Thursday, February 24, 2022. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs, Oklahoma.

Visitation for John will be Friday, March 4, 2022, from 12 noon until 8pm, at the Funeral Home.

John was born July 16, 1949, to Howard Heustis and Sarah Adaline (Vaughn) Heustis. Following his graduation from High School, John served his country in the United States Navy. He was a hard worker and always tried to take good care of his family. John was married to Cheryl Earlabaugh in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on July 4, 2007. He loved his family and extended family and treasured the times that he could spend with them.

John loved to go camping, fishing, watching Drag Races, talk politics, and watch TV. He was an avid Oklahoma Sooner fan. Any time they were playing, everything stopped and this was his time to support his favorite team. John enjoyed cooking and always made a great breakfast. It was said that he could make some "mean" eggs. Having to say goodbye to such a wonderful guy is going to be so hard for both family and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Sarah Heustis and sister Ollie Ann Heustis.

He is survived by his loving wife Cheryl Heustis; daughters Crystal Grimes and husband Kyle and Alicia Jeffries and husband Eddie; sons Jared Heustis and Jon Zachary Heustis; step-daughter Jacqueline Minnich and husband Michael; step-son Christopher Webb; 9 granddaughters; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; many other relatives and friends.
