Joshua Ryan Duckworth departed this life on Monday, June 9, 2025, at the age of 35. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.

A funeral service celebrating Josh's life will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, June 16, at First Baptist Church of Chouteau with Deacon Billy Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Chouteau West Cemetery. Viewing will be available at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 to 8 p.m.

Josh was born on August 30, 1989, in Claremore, Oklahoma, to Joe Michael Duckworth and Janet Danielle (Rash) Duckworth. He was raised in Inola, where he excelled in sports—playing football, baseball, and wrestling. His athletic talents made him a standout, but it was his energy, humor, and sharp mind that truly set him apart.

Josh worked as a machinist, crafting airplane parts with precision and pride. He had a deep curiosity and a hands-on knack for mechanics—there wasn't much he couldn't fix. He could take apart just about anything and put it back together like new. Josh loved the outdoors, especially fishing, and found joy in shooting sports. He had a signature style: his beloved Oakley's, a clean pair of Jordans (or any sharp high-tops), and he was always well dressed. He also had a passion for history and was an avid watcher of the History Channel, always learning and soaking in the past.

To those who knew him, Josh will be remembered as energized, smart, and funny. He had a signature smirk that could light up a room and a laugh that was contagious. He loved deeply—especially his nieces and nephews—and his presence brought joy and excitement wherever he went.

Josh is preceded in death by his father, Joe Duckworth; and his grandparents, Pat and Hazel Duckworth and William Clayton Rash.

He is survived by his loving mother, Danielle Lantz and husband, Morgan of Claremore; brother, Roger Wishard, Jr. and wife, Amanda of Chouteau; sister, Stephanie (Wishard) Scott and husband, Dalton of Chouteau; and grandmother, Sheila Love and husband, Bill. He also leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews: Gabriell Grace Wishard, Avery Kay Wishard, Riley Clay Wishard, Josiah Jackson Wishard, Savannah Coblentz, Sophia Coblentz, and Shevy Coblentz; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

Josh's vibrant spirit, mechanical genius, and love for life will never be forgotten.
