Joyce
Ladner
Aug 17, 1941 — Mar 13, 2022
Kiefer
Joyce Darlene Ladner of Beggs, Oklahoma, passed peacefully from this life Sunday, March 13, 2022, at the home of her daughter surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 17, 1941, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Roy Wayne Davis and Alma Ruth (Hansen) Davis. She grew up in Turley, Oklahoma. Joyce attended Sperry High School and enjoyed being a part of the basketball team. She met and fell in love with Edward Ladner at the Air Force base in Enid and on September 23, 1959, they were married. Joyce "JD" and Ed had three children: Debbie, Carol and Byron. She was herself one of 8 children, and Joyce was deeply devoted to her family. She loved visiting her siblings, nieces and nephews, and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. These last few years she would often be found with a child in her lap, singing, reciting nursery rhymes or playing with them. She was a devoted Christian who loved sharing her faith with others. It was her faith that motivated and inspired her throughout her life, and she is certainly having the best time ever up in Heaven right now. She loved shopping for bargains, spending time fishing with Ed, travelling, going to church and making her home a warm and inviting place to be. Joyce always had a servant's heart and believed in loving everyone regardless of their political or social views. Showing love and kindness to one another was always very important to Joyce and she would especially want that message shared now. She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Alma Davis, daughter Carol Ladner and siblings Lena Whittington, Roy "Pete" Davis, Rose Mary Remington and Joe Davis. She is survived by her husband Ed Ladner, daughter Debbie Martin and Debbie's husband Phil, son Byron Ladner, siblings Loretta Ray, Edward "Eddie" Davis and Raymond Davis; four grandchildren – Johnathan Martin, Jarod Martin and wife Kaitlin, Joy Fritz and husband Jonathan, and Shyanne Martin; 4 great grandchildren – Kailey Fritz, Cara Fritz, Aiden Fritz and Eleanor Martin, many nieces, nephews and cousins, and many friends who loved her dearly. Funeral services are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service. Funeral service to be held 10:00a.m., Monday, March 21, 2022, at Sapulpa Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday 1-6 pm. Leave your memories of Joyce online at www.mogro.co.
