Judy Karen Halpain, 66, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully Friday night. Born in Tulsa, Judy lived a life marked by compassion, service, and devotion to her loved ones.

Judy dedicated many years of her career to helping others through her work at Legal Aid, where her kindness and integrity touched the lives of many. Outside of work, she found joy in simple pleasures—she loved square dancing, reading, and solving puzzles, and her weekly bingo games with friends always bringing warmth and laughter wherever she went. She also enjoyed Crocheting and crafts, and was a talented seamstress.

Judy is survived by her beloved daughter, Brandy Broomhall, and son-in-law, Anthony; her brother, Jerry Halpain, and his wife, Edie; nephews Shawn Halpain and his wife Wendy, and their children and grandchildren; Jeremy Halpain and his wife Cynthia, and their children and grand child; and niece Kristy Brenner and her husband Matt, and their children. She is also survived by her niece Melissa Love and her husband George, and their children.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Broomhall; her parents, Jesse James "Papa" Halpain and Pauline Halpain; and her sister, Sharon Harlan.

A funeral service to honor Judy's life will be held at Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service in Sand Springs on Friday, July 11th at 10:00 a.m. Friends and loved ones are invited to attend and celebrate the life of a woman whose presence brought light and comfort to all who knew her.
