Karen Sue (Christiansen) Bailey, 63 of Sand Springs, passed away on Saturday September 24, 2022, at Glenwood Healthcare in Glenpool, OK.

Services for Karen have been entrusted to Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service.

Karen was born on July 3, 1959, to Orville Lee and Peggy Jane (Caves) Christiansen in Tulsa, OK.  She graduated from Bixby High School as Valedictorian in 1977 while simultaneously undergoing chemo treatment for Leukemia. During high school she lettered in basketball and was a cheerleader.  Karen continued her education earning an Associate Degree from Bryant Institute.  She worked for several years as an orthodontist assistant and later worked at Reasors in the bakery until she retired. Karen enjoyed puzzles, card games, bowling and bingo. But most importantly, she loved volunteering at the church nursery and spending time with the kids.

Karen is survived by her daughters, Ginger Walker and spouse Jeffry, Tomi Jane "TJ" O'Connor and spouse John; two sisters, Cindy Dunn, Lori Shannon; her parents, Orville and Peggy Christiansen; five grandchildren, Nathan Walker, Allison Walker Rachel Walker, Levi Walker and Minnie O'Connor; and several other relatives and friends.

A visitation with the family will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday October 5, 2022, from 4 to 6 p.m.
